Made for you if...
Lotus Deo Cream is my aluminium free natural deodorant cream with a grounding, softly floral blend of clary sage, bergamot, ylang ylang, sweet orange and Roman chamomile. One of my Autumn Rituals.
I created Lotus in autumn 2024, while I was planning my trip to Bali. Renewal, from the ground up - like the lotus flower blooming clean out of the mud. It opens fresh and citrusy, then softens into something earthy, sweet and calm.
It won't stop you sweating - sweating is normal, and your body needs to do it. What it does is neutralise odour and keep you feeling fresh, while shea butter, mango butter and jojoba oil look after the delicate skin under your arms.
Made for you if...
Not quite you? If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, choose Cloud (unscented), Peach Tea or Cherry Deo Cream. Want the full Lotus ritual? Try Lotus Light Cream and Lotus Cleansing Gel.
At a glance: aluminium free · grounding citrus floral · 80g tin or 15g trial tin · vegan, cruelty free, palm oil free · plastic free aluminium tin · handmade by me in small batches in Devon
A note on bicarb: some people find sodium bicarbonate irritates their underarms. I use a low amount and balance it with magnesium hydroxide and zinc ricinoleate, so the cream doesn't rely on bicarb alone. If you know your skin is sensitive to it, start with a 15g trial tin and patch test first.
Full ingredients (INCI): Maranta Arundinacea Root Powder (Arrowroot), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Hydroxide, Kaolin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Zinc Ricinoleate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Flower Oil, Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil
Essential oils contain: Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool
Prefer not to use your fingers? Pair it with a bamboo spatula to scoop out just what you need.
Switching from an antiperspirant? Some people find it takes a week or two for their body to settle in. Stick with it.
How long does a tin last? An 80g tin lasts around 4-6 months of daily use, and a 15g trial tin around 2-4 weeks - perfect for trying the scent first, or for your gym bag and travels.
Storage: keep it somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight - the natural butters soften in warm weather. Safe to use for 12 months once opened.
Patch test first, and don't apply to broken skin.
Does natural deodorant cream really work?
It neutralises odour rather than blocking sweat. You'll still sweat, which is completely normal - the cream is there to keep you smelling fresh.
What does Lotus smell like?
Grounding yet uplifting - a fresh citrus opening that softens into an earthy, sweet, calm finish.
Can I use it straight after shaving?
Yes. Shea butter, mango butter and jojoba oil make it gentle enough to use straight after shaving.
Which size should I buy?
The 15g trial tin to try it, then the 80g tin once you've found your favourite.
Is it vegan and plastic free?
Yes - vegan, cruelty free and palm oil free, in a recyclable aluminium tin.
Lovely scent. Really effective
Taking the time to write a review for a truly excellent product. I had previously been using Mitchum as I never felt confident without a strong deodorant, especially going through perimenopause. I lost a friend to breast cancer and decided it was time to make some smart changes in my life. I initially switched to Wild as I was seduced by the packaging but After a few months of bearing with it, I felt it did nothing for me. I then tried Fussy and it went on better but I was never really confident without it. I got a free sample of Conchus a couple of months ago and it’s been a game changer. I use a pea sized amount and I still smell fresh at the end of the day. It ‘s even worked after a sweaty game of tennis. I’ll never go back.
I am currently finishing off another deodorant but have used it a couple of times. Great so far.
These deo creams are amazing and last such a long time! I’m slowly making my way through the scents and this is my favourite so far! (Although love them all!)
I’ve never used a do cream before but this one works really well. So soft and smells lovely too. Will quickly become a staple for me
