Back in March 2020, when overnight we had to adjust to unimaginable levels of personal hygiene and personal space, when our children started to come home with cracked and sore hands, when the unknowns were only just beginning, when key workers fought for us all, as always I was an advocate for using natural soap, natural hand balm, and taking care of each other.
But as time went on, we ventured further and we mixed a little more, the bottles of sanitisers started appearing at entrances and exits of the places we visited, and using natural soap on-the-go wasn’t always an option.
The sanitisers available were often very harsh, poor quality, disgusting smelling, and left hands begging for care.
I tried many of the ‘natural’ options, so that I could use my own sanitiser when it was required, but many left my hands sticky, not smelling particularly nice, or the textures were just odd. And they were often expensive!
So I developed my own, that i’ve been using for months. It leaves my hands soft, beautifully scented and protected. So I thought as lockdown eases, and we start to live life freely again, that I should share my sanitiser with you all to protect and care for you every day.
These sanitisers meet the required alcohol content to work effectively, while also containing glycerin and pro vitamin b5 to protect and condition the skin.
I’ve also used two of my favourite own-created essential oil blends so that:
HOPE smells like our FLORA Deo Cream
HERO smells like our BREEZE Deo Cream
These essential oils not only smell amazing but they have amazing antibacterial properties too!!
The 100ml bottle lasts for AAAAAGES, and is aluminium so there's no risk of it breaking when you're out and about. Both sanitisers are also available with a reusable pump spray or aluminium cap for future purchases, and feature the same uncoated paper labels that we use on our other products.
AAAAAAND I’ve partnered with NHS Charities Together to donate 10% of every sale to their incredible work.
NHS Charities Together is the national charity caring for the NHS. They are made up of 241 NHS charity members based with hospitals, mental health trusts, ambulance trusts, community health trusts and health boards across the UK.
The funds raised by NHS Charities Together enable the health service to go above and beyond what would otherwise be possible. Through their member charities they fund projects that improve services for patients, and they help NHS staff and volunteers both practically and emotionally so that they can continue with their vital life-saving work.
Their mission is more important now than ever as the NHS faces the most challenging time in its history. So it felt right that through every purchase of this hand sanitiser, we give back to a service that goes above and beyond for us all every day.
