Description

Olla Light Cream is my handmade face and body cream for normal to dry skin, and skin that's looking a little dull, with coffee seed oil, golden jojoba and cocoa butter in a neroli water base, scented with sweet orange, cinnamon and clove. One of my Autumn Rituals.

Olla smells like autumn in a tin - juicy sweet orange, warm cinnamon and clove, with earthy patchouli underneath. It's the one I reach for on dark mornings when I need waking up. The name came from a CONCHUS customer: café de olla is a Mexican coffee made with cinnamon, clove and orange.

It's whipped and light, absorbs quickly, and isn't sticky or greasy - light enough for your face under make-up, nourishing enough for hands, legs and feet.

Made for you if...

  • your skin is normal to dry and looking a little dull now the weather's turned
  • you love warm, spiced, cosy scents
  • you want one cream for face, body, hands and feet
  • you don't like the feel of heavy, greasy creams

Not quite you? Try Cloud (unscented, for sensitive or very dry skin), Lotus (dry or tight skin) or Peach Tea (normal to combination, suitable in pregnancy). Want the full ritual? Pair it with Olla Deo Cream and Olla Exfoliating Bar. Still deciding? Start with the 10g trial tin.

At a glance: for normal to dry skin · warm spiced orange scent · face and body · 10g trial, 50g or 150g · vegan, cruelty free, palm oil free · plastic free aluminium tin · handmade by me in small batches in Devon

Ingredients and what they do
  • Neroli floral water - a softly scented base in place of plain water
  • Coffee seed oil - a rich, nourishing oil that leaves skin feeling soft
  • Golden jojoba oil - very close to skin's own oils, so it absorbs easily
  • Cocoa butter - rich and softening, for skin that feels tight or dry
  • Sweet orange, may chang, patchouli, cinnamon and clove essential oils - the warm Olla scent

Because it's water based, it contains a gentle preservative to keep it safe to use. Like every other ingredient, it's listed below - nothing hidden.

Full ingredients (INCI): Aqua (Water), Citrus Aurantium (Neroli) Floral Water, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Peel Oil, Litsea Cubeba (May Chang) Fruit Oil, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Leaf Oil, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Leaf Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Bud Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate

Essential oils contain: Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool

How to use
  1. Scoop a small amount out of the tin with clean, dry fingers.
  2. Warm it between your fingertips and smooth it over your face and neck.
  3. Take a moment - cover your face with your hands, breathe in, breathe out.
  4. Use what's left on hands, cuticles, elbows, legs or feet - anywhere that feels dry.

Use it morning and night. It sits nicely under make-up.

How long does a tin last? A 50g tin used just on your face lasts around 1-2 months. Used all over it goes faster, so the 150g tin is the one for all-over use and families.

Once opened: safe to use for 12 months, and at its freshest within 3-6 months. Store somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight.

Suitability
  • Made for normal to dry skin, and skin that's looking a little dull
  • Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding - choose Cloud, Peach Tea or Flora Light Cream instead
  • Scented with pure essential oils - no synthetic fragrance

Contains cinnamon and clove essential oils, so patch test first if your skin is sensitive.

As with any new skincare, patch test first and avoid broken skin.
