Description

Zest Lip Balm is my handmade vegan lip balm, with the scent of freshly squeezed lemons and limes, and a very subtle shimmer. Rich, glossy and long lasting, with no petroleum.

I wanted a lip balm that felt like the glossy petroleum balms so many of us grew up with - without the petroleum. Castor oil, berry fruit wax, carnauba wax and golden jojoba oil make it rich, glossy and long lasting, and it comes in a little tin that lives in your pocket.

Ingredients and what they do

• Castor seed oil - rich and glossy, it cushions lips
• Berry fruit wax and carnauba wax - plant waxes that make it long lasting - no beeswax, so it's vegan
• Golden jojoba oil - soft and nourishing
• Vitamin E - a natural antioxidant
• Lemon and lime essential oils - the zesty scent
• Mica and mineral pigments - a very subtle shimmer - ethically sourced

No water, so no preservative needed.

Full ingredients (INCI): Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Rhus Verniciflua Peel Cera (Berry Fruit) Wax, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Limonum (lemon) Fruit Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (lime) Fruit Peel Oil, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide Red, Tin Oxide.

How to use

Smooth a little onto your lips with a clean fingertip whenever they feel dry. A thicker layer before bed is lovely too.

Keep it somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight. Safe to use for 12 months once opened.

What does Zest smell like?
Freshly squeezed lemons and limes, with a very subtle shimmer from ethically sourced mica.

Is it vegan?
Yes. There's no beeswax - I use berry fruit wax and carnauba wax instead.

Is it petroleum free?
Yes. No petroleum, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance.

Is the packaging plastic free?
Yes - a 10g aluminium tin with an uncoated paper label.
